This year, nearly 200 players from the three groups of students, faculty and leaders participated in the competition, and the two-day competition was distributed in 12 courts of the Hengqin International Tennis Center, and each team contributed a total of 191 wonderful battles. In the end, Guangdong University of Science and Technology won the championship of the student group group of this year's university competition, with Beijing Normal University Zhuhai and the University of Macau ranking second and third respectively.

Although this is the first time that the University of Macau (UM) has participated in the "Huafa Cup", UM has achieved good results in various disciplines, including the third place in the student group category, the men's singles champion in the student group, and the men's doubles champion and runner-up.

Australian student Zhao Linton, who won the men's singles championship in the student category, trains well on weekdays and has also trained with the Guangxi provincial team during the summer vacation. Zhao also confidently said that he has a certain competitiveness among players of the same type. As for the two-day competition, Zhao Linton also said that the excellent venues and orderly organization made the competition go quite smoothly. The executive unit, Huafa Sports, moved the finals to the Huafa Center Court, so that these players can also enjoy the benefits of top players.

Although the university failed to win the championship in the student team competition, the individual championship was enough for the rest of the universities to see the strength of UM.

Beijing Normal University's Zhuhai branch, which won the runner-up last year, is again in second place this year. Although the final total points were narrowly lost to Guangke, the team leader Zhao Xuan was still satisfied with the result. Mr. Zhao said that Beijing Shizhu has attached great importance to tennis in the past two years, and now the number of tennis players in the school has reached 400, in addition to this competition, they will also participate in the China Amateur Tennis Club League held at the Hengqin Tennis Center in mid-May.

This year coincides with the implementation of the "National Fitness Program" in Guangdong Province, and Zhuhai, as a city with a strong sports atmosphere, has also fully cooperated and supported. As we all know, Zhuhai is known for its abundant university resources, and tennis has been in full swing among college students, and each school has a certain number of standard tennis courts. With the landing of the Zhuhai WTA Super Classic in Zhuhai, more tennis benefits have also poured into the campus. The Municipal Bureau of Culture and Sports and the Municipal Bureau of Education have joined hands with Huafa Sports to make good use of the resources of these colleges and universities, and will launch more activities to promote sports.

The 2017 WTA Super Classic Zhuhai will take place between 31 October and 5 November, when the top players ranked 9 to 19 in singles will once again gather in Zhuhai.
