Guangzhou, December 7 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 Livzon Zhuhai Marathon started on the 7th, with 16,000 runners running between the blue sea and blue sky.

The event has two events, marathon and half marathon, of which 4,000 people registered for the marathon and 12,000 people for the half marathon. Wang Rongsong won the men's marathon championship with a time of 2 hours, 24 minutes and 05 seconds, and Shu Changhua and Zhang Jie won the second and third places respectively. In the women's group, Chen Liqin won the championship in 2 hours, 44 minutes and 39 seconds, while Wei Chunhua and Dong Yunyun won the second and third places.

In the men's half marathon event, Liu Jun won the championship in 1 hour, 08 minutes and 40 seconds, and Wan Lei and Wang Zhe won the second and third places. In the women's group, Yin Ting won the championship with a time of 1 hour, 19 minutes and 38 seconds, and Pang Yuting and Qin Weina won the second and third places respectively.

The track of this Zhuhai Marathon fully demonstrates the characteristics of the city. The start and end of the event are set in Haitian Park, adjacent to the Zhuhai Museum, Zhuhai Grand Theater, Lovers Road, the "most beautiful track", which cleverly connects Zhuhai's sea, cityscape and islands, and the track passes through Sun Yat-sen University, Tangjiawan, Coastal Park, Xianglu Bay Beach, Zhuhai Fisherwoman and other landscapes, forming a beautiful picture of nature and humanities.

In terms of event support, the organizing committee escorted the event with "professional guarantee + humanistic temperature". nearly 3,100 safety and security forces cover the entire track; There are 26 medical stations on the track and 4 designated treatment hospitals, with 27 ambulances, 201 medical personnel, 20 AED equipment, 48 cycling AED first aiders, and 240 medical observation volunteers to achieve full coverage of emergency rescue. 1,935 volunteers provided services for the event.

The design of the finishing medal of this event is based on the curved shell texture as the background, and incorporates the images of Chinese white dolphins, Zhuhai fishermen, and sun and moon shells (Zhuhai Grand Theater), adding strong regional characteristics and urban charm to the medals.

The event is hosted by the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government, certified by the Chinese Athletics Association, undertaken by the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and jointly operated by Zhuhai Huafa Sports Operation Management Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Shan Pao Sports Technology Co., Ltd.
