On December 28, the 2025 Hengqin Marathon kicked off on Hengqin Financial Island, an event that ushered in the "Seven Years of Run", igniting the land of Hengqin and Macao with surging vitality. The scale of this year's event reached 16,000, including a total of 1,019 Hong Kong and Macao contestants, and 679 Macao contestants, showing the strong atmosphere of Hengqin and Macao integration.

The event has two events, marathon (42.195 kilometers) and half marathon (21.0975 kilometers), both of which start and end at the Central Park of Hengqin Financial Island, connecting the urban landmarks and natural scenery of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and taking the runners to appreciate the open attitude and development pulse of the cooperation zone in an all-round way.

After seven years and six sessions, the Hengqin Marathon has gradually grown into a characteristic marathon event in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and has become a bright city business card of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
