澳大利亚网球公开赛亚太区外卡赛，是由澳大利亚网球协会主办，珠海华发集团承办，华发体育运用管理有限公司执行的一项综合网球赛事。比赛场馆位于珠海横琴国际网球中心，这也是第四站入驻横琴网球中心的赛事。而为了配合澳网外卡赛的举办，珠海横琴国际网球中心的比赛场地，也会刷成和墨尔本公园一样的蓝色场地。
Hosted by Tennis Australia, organized by Huafa Group and operated by Huafa Sports, Australian Open Asia-Pacific Wildcard Play-off is the only selection trial for the Grand Slam of Australian Open in the Asia-Pacific area. The Wildcard Play-off is the fourth international tournament held in Hengqin Tennis Center. The center will be painted blue to provide a similiar environment to Melbourne Park.
澳网外卡赛是澳网官方于中国设立的一站赛事，旨在为亚洲和太平洋周边的国家和地区的低排位选手提供一个进入澳网正赛的机会。每一年在澳网外卡赛的单双打冠军，均可直接参加当年一月份于墨尔本举行的澳网。
The Australian Open Asia-Pacific Wildcard Play-off provides the best players from the Asia-Pacific region with the opportunity to win a wildcard into the Australian Open. One wildcard each will be given to the winners of the Australian Open Wildcard Playoff to gain direct entry into the Australia Open held in January.
珠海作为中国最宜居的城市之一，以及多年来打造旅游城市的经验，加上与澳大利亚墨尔本相近的城市特质，吸引了澳大利亚网球协会，让澳网亚太区外卡赛落户珠海横琴。澳网亚太区外卡赛的加入，使得珠海成为举办多级别职业网球赛事的城市之一。这些比赛的加入，让珠海这两年通过网球这项运动，一举跃上国际舞台，让更多的观众和球迷认识珠海、了解珠海。2017年澳网亚太区外卡赛，是横琴国际网球中心自2015年落成以来，华发集团承办的第四项职业网球赛事。在此之前，华发集团已经承办了珠海WTA超级精英赛、珠海ITF国际女子网球巡回赛、ATP职业男子网球挑战赛等国际顶级网球赛事。
As one of the most livable cities in China, Zhuhai becomes the new home of the Asia-Pacific Australian Open Wildcard Play-off because of its similar climate to Melbourne and rich experience in developing tourism industry. This tournament has made Zhuhai one of the cities that hold various levels of professional tennis events in China. In the past two years, Huafa Group successfully organised WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai, Zhuhai ITF Women's Pro Circuit and ATP Challenger Zhuhai. Through these three tournaments, together with Wildcard Play-off, the beautiful city is showcased at an international arena and begins to attract more and more global attention.
